Jezzine (Arabic: جزين‎ Jizzīn) is a town in Lebanon, found 22 km (14 mi) from Sidon and 40 km (25 mi) south of Beirut. It is the capital of the Jezzine District. Encircled by mountain tops, pine timberlands (like the Bkassine Pine Forest), and at a normal elevation of 950 m (3,117 ft), it is the primary summer resort and traveler objective of South Lebanon. The town is likewise notable in Lebanon for its creation of handcrafted, customary cutlery and blades with beautiful trims, distinctive wine, and the hallowed place of Our Lady of the Waterfall.
