Beit ed-Dine

Beit ed-Dine is a humble community and the regulatory capital of the Chouf District in the Mount Lebanon Governorate in Lebanon. The town is found 45 kilometers southeast of Beirut, and close to the town of Deir el-Qamar from which it is isolated by a precarious valley. It had 1,613 enrolled electors in 2010 and its occupants are prevalently Christians from the Maronite, Melkite and Greek Orthodox divisions. Beit ed-Dine’s all out land zone comprises of 244 hectares and its normal rise is 860 meters above ocean level.
