Mount Lebanon


Aley, is a significant city in Lebanon. It is the capital of the Aley District and fourth-biggest city in Lebanon.

The city is situated on Mount Lebanon, 15 km tough from Beirut on the interstate to Damascus. Aley has the moniker ‘Lady of the hour of the Summer resorts’ (عروس المصايف) because of its cooler atmosphere throughout the late spring touristic season. Different monikers include: ‘Capital of the Mountain’ (عاصمة الجبل); and the ‘Lebanese City of Fog’ (مدينة الضباب), because of its montane foggy climate.
